Families interested in receiving PFA placement at UDT must apply directly through the Preschool for All Parent Portal.

To participate in Preschool for All, your child must be 3 or 4 years old on or before September 1st, 2026, and have a parent or legal guardian living in Multnomah County.

There are no income eligibility requirements to apply for Preschool for All.

​

Families who receive a PFA placement at UDT are enrolled Monday to Friday.

Families who receive a PFA award are required to respond to their placement offer by the date specified by PFA. UDT will be in contact with new PFA families to provide further enrollment information and arrange a group information session for new families.
 

PFA enrollment and placements are determined by Multnomah County,. UDT is not involved in the placement process. We cannot determine eligibility or make placement decisions.

UDT preschool classrooms are mixed aged classrooms, with 3, 4 and 5 year olds.  Each classroom maintains a ratio of one lead teacher for every 10 preschoolers,​

PFA funding provides preschool care from Monday to Friday, from 7:00am to 5:00pm.

PFA funding covers your child’s daily preschool attendance, including morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack.

PFA funding does not cover late pick up fees or optional costs, such as school pictures. The late pick up fee is $5 for every minute after 5:00pm.

UDT operates continuously throughout the year, from September 1st to August 31st. Our schedule includes 10 late starts, 7 days off for

in-service days, 6 holidays, and 4 weeks off for planned breaks. On late start days, UDT opens at 9:00am. On in-service days, the school will be closed for the entire day.
